IGP Usman Alkali Baba, the inspector general of police, has directed the immediate deployment of armed personnel from the Police Mobile Force, K-9, Force Intelligence Bureau, Explosive Ordnance Unit, and Railway Police Command in preparation for the start of rail services along the Abuja/Kaduna rail lines on Monday, December 5, 2022.

The Nigeria Police Force has been in constant contact with the Nigerian Railway Corporation and other security agencies in preparation for the start of operations, according to a statement made to journalists by CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the force’s public relations officer, on Sunday, December 4, 2022.

In order to offer enough security for customers, their property, and the entire service and to prevent any unanticipated incident, the police deployment includes operational coaches and important railway stations along the route.

Since everyone is working together to strengthen the railway services along the route and other train lines around the country, the Inspector General of Police assures the general public, specially intended passengers, of adequate security of lives and property.
