In Damboa, Borno State, Nigerian soldiers from the 25 Task Force Brigade of Operation Hadin Kai have killed several members of the Islamic State of the West African Province (ISWAP).

When they attempted to attack a military base in Azir on January 13, 2023, it was reported that the terrorists suffered a humiliating setback.

The rebels rushed the base using an MRAP, four Hilux trucks outfitted with an anti-aircraft gun, and motorcycles, according to intelligence sources who spoke to Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad.

According to the sources, after engaging the terrorists in a fierce gun battle and taking control of one of their hilux vehicles, the troops were able to kill some of the terrorists.

According to reliable reports, the terrorists fled the scene as the gunfight raged after spotting the Air Force Super Tucano fighter plane.

According to him, they ran out of luck when the jets dropped bombs on the terrorists, scoring important strikes and destroying one of their fictitious MRAPs, killing all of its passengers.

Additionally, the brave soldiers took several terrorists’ weapons and equipment back. According to reports, the incident resulted in injuries to three soldiers.
