Thirty people who were being held hostage by bandits in the state’s Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area have been successfully freed thanks to the efforts of the Kebbi State Government, led by Dr. Nasir Idris. The Danko/Wasagu LGA Chairman, Alhaji Useni Aliyu Bena, confirmed this remarkable accomplishment and extended his gratitude for the state government’s tremendous efforts.

24 of the kidnapped people were released on Friday, and a further six were released on Saturday, according to Ahmed Idris, the Kebbi State Governor’s chief press secretary. Chairman Useni Aliyu Bena praised the state government for cooperating closely with security forces and giving them the assistance they needed to fight criminal groups, particularly in regions where Kebbi State shares borders with Zamfara and Niger States.

Bena also commended the release of overdue allowances to security agencies by the current administration, which has had a good effect on employee morale. He emphasized the essential part played by the Brigade Commander in charge of Kebbi, Zamfara, and Sokoto States, whose men showed fortitude and determination and helped the rescue mission to be successful in just two days.

The people that were rescued are from a number of different places, including Kotangora in Niger State and Danmari, Kaba, and Kajiji in Zamfara State. The six passengers who will be transported to Kotangora via the Bena route are currently being transported. Bena noted that Dr. Nasir Idris immediately called a conference with all security services in the state after taking office to develop a comprehensive plan for combating crime and criminality. The governor granted money to allow for quick action, and it worked well.

In addition, plans have been created so that the saved people can have medical checks to make sure they’re okay. The state government is dedicated to their complete rehabilitation and seeks to give them the support and attention they require.

The effective rescue effort demonstrates the government’s commitment to increasing security and protecting the lives and property of its residents. The Kebbi State Government has successfully worked with security forces, and their ongoing initiatives reflect a strong commitment to battling banditry and reestablishing peace and stability in the area.
