The Muslim Youth Foundation and the Boys Brigade of Sanga local government council in Kaduna State presented the Commander of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) and General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Division of the Nigerian Army (NA), Major General Ibrahim Ali, with an award today, December 17, 2022, for his peace ambassadorial efforts and exemplary leadership in peace building.
According to Captain Oyo James, the Media Information Officer OPSH, General Ali commended the organisation for deeming him deserving of the award on behalf of the Deputy Commander OPSH, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Tazangwu Iyua. He commanded them to uphold the same beliefs and to always preach harmony and peace to their flock.
General Ali also exhorted those in attendance to love peace, saying that only a peaceful society can support growth. The Forward Operating Base (FOB) Sanga Commander and the Chairman of the Local Government Council of Sanga were among the dignitaries present at the award presenting ceremony.
The award presentation to the recipient, the Boys Brigade band performance, and the group portrait were the event’s highlights.
