In response, Major General Tafida expressed his appreciation to Major General Mohammed for his exemplary leadership and the smooth transition of command. He commended the outgoing Commander for his achievements, particularly in facilitating the construction of the new Headquarters in Giri, Abuja, and other initiatives aimed at enhancing service delivery within the Corps.

He called on all personnel under his command to align themselves with his vision and work collectively towards taking the Corps to greater heights. He also expressed gratitude to the COAS for entrusting him with the appointment, assuring him of his unwavering commitment to achieving the COAS Vision for the Nigerian Army.

The ceremony featured significant moments such as the signing of Handing and Taking Over Notes, the decoration of Major General Hassan Gadem Tafida with the Corps Insignia, the presentation of the Corps Flag, and the lowering and hoisting of flags. Furthermore, there was an inspection of the Quarter Guard and a group photograph to commemorate the occasion.
