In a decisive and successful operation through the use of artillery, troops of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) Sector 4 launched a relentless assault on an Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) hideout in Bulabulin, Mobbar Local Government Area. The operation was based on crucial intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) footage that confirmed the presence of terrorists in the area.

Upon validation of the information, the MNJTF troops wasted no time and swiftly responded with a barrage of artillery bombardments, signaling the intensity and seriousness of the operation. The ferocity of the explosions reverberated through the area, leaving no doubt about the critical nature of the mission.

The aftermath of the attack revealed the effectiveness of the assault, as nine terrorists were neutralized, with their lifeless bodies found at the site during the early hours of today. The impact of the assault was evident, with the entire ISWAP hideout left in ruins and reduced to ashes.

The success of the operation demonstrated the MNJTF’s commitment to combating terrorism in the region and protecting the lives and security of civilians. However, amidst the chaos and devastation, a handful of the assailants managed to evade capture and fled in the direction of the nearby Lake.

The MNJTF’s swift response and successful mission highlight the importance of intelligence gathering and cooperation between the member countries in the fight against insurgency. This operation serves as a testament to the determination of the task force to eliminate the threat posed by ISWAP and other terrorist groups in the region.

The MNJTF continues to work tirelessly to neutralize terrorist elements and disrupt their activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of the people in the Lake Chad region. The successful strike on the ISWAP hideout in Bulabulin sends a strong message to the terrorists that they will face unyielding resistance and that their hideouts will not be safe havens for their nefarious activities.

The MNJTF, comprising troops from Nigeria, Niger, Chad, Cameroon, and Benin, has shown its effectiveness in tackling the regional threat of terrorism and insurgency. This joint effort underscores the importance of collaboration and collective action in combating transnational security challenges.

The MNJTF remains committed to its mandate of eradicating terrorism in the region, and this latest operation is a testament to the force’s determination to achieve its objective. The joint task force will continue to employ all necessary means to root out terrorism and bring peace and stability to the Lake Chad region.
