The troops of Sector 3 (Monguno) as part of its clearance operation, on 11 October 2022, arrested forty (40) terrorist logistics suppliers in the Lack Chad region. The troops after an intelligence-led operation conducted a patrol on the suspected supply route of the terrorists.
In a statement by the Chief of Military Information Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Kamarudeen Adegboke said that the operation led to the discovery of sixty-four (64) bags of beans, two (2) bags of maize, and other large quantities of food items.
The items were alleged to be supplying to the terrorists’ enclaves. In a follow up operation, led to the capture of another 300 bags of beans and 100 bags of corn which were destroyed in situ by the troops.
In another development, Colonel Kamarudeen said on 11 October 2022, troops of 68 Battalion on a joint patrol with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) along the Mallam Fatori- Bandamari- Bari – Korarawon axis, made another breakthrough leading to the discovery and confiscation of twelve (12) bags of fish and nine (9) donkeys suspected to be used in ferrying supplies to the terrorists hiding in the Lake Chad basin area.
