19 alleged Boko Haram members have been detained by Sector 3 Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) members, and various weapons have been found in Boko Haram Hideouts in Borno’s northeast.
During increased patrols, raids, and mop-up operations by the troops of OPERATION DESERT/LAKE SANITY II in the Bulabulin general area, the terrorists were discovered and captured on April 29 at Kangori village, which is situated roughly 17km west of Damasak.
According to Zagazola Makama, a security analyst and counter-insurgency expert in the Lake Chad area, the soldiers also found some tools used to make IEDs and six AK-47 magazines among other things at the Boko Haram Hideouts.
