1 Division Nigerian Army organized an impressive Public Speaking Engagement for a few Kaduna State schools as part of the ongoing Nigerian Army Day Celebration 2023. The gathering of students from various educational institutions promoted knowledge, awareness, and inspiration. It was hosted in the magnificent auditorium of Command Secondary School Kaduna.
Students from illustrious schools including Dambo International Secondary School, Kadwell International Secondary School, Jini Schools, Garkuwa International, Redeemers International, Jupavi Schools, Command Secondary School Kaduna, and Command Day Secondary School were among the honored guests.
The Public Speaking Engagement was created to cover a variety of important subjects. The kids heard from knowledgeable speakers who stressed the value of patriotism, educated them on the dangers of drug and alcohol addiction, highlighted the negative impacts of cultism, and highlighted job opportunities with the Nigerian Army. The importance of avoiding criminal activity and the beneficial effects of civil-military interventions carried out by the Nigerian Army were stressed. They also gave insightful information on the selection and recruitment standards for the prestigious institution.
A number of prominent individuals led the discussions, including Lieutenant Colonel DM Imiren, Commanding Officer of the 312 Artillery Regiment, Lieutenant Colonel Ekrika, Deputy Director of Legal Services in the 1st Division, and Lieutenant Colonel MA Yahaya, Deputy Director of Army Public Relations in the 1st Division. Their knowledge and experience improved the occasion and held the audience’s attention for three interesting hours.
A riveting 20-minute documentary that offered insights into the Nigerian Army’s honorable history, its missions and responsibilities, and its unflinching commitment to national security was shown to provide a thorough grasp of the organization.
The interactive session that the kids avidly engaged in, asking questions of the eminent speakers and seeking advice from them was the event’s high point. The young brains were motivated, empowered, and curious as a result of this dynamic conversation.
