On Friday, June 23, 2023, a total of 200 personnel completed various administrative courses at the Nigerian Air Force Institute of Administrative Management (NAFIAM) in Kaduna. The graduating class consisted of 9 officers and 191 airmen/airwomen who successfully finished one of the nine courses offered by the institute. These courses included the Initial Personnel Administration Management Officers Course, Integrated Basic Clerical Course, Basic Physical Education Course, Basic Catering Course, Basic Military Band Course, and Basic Information Assistant Certificate Course, all of which lasted for six months. Additionally, there were the Admin Upgrading A1 Course, Admin Upgrading A2 Course, and Advance Physical Education Course, which spanned three months.

During the graduation ceremony, Air Vice Marshal Mohammed Yusuf, the Director of Administration at the Headquarters Nigerian Air Force, represented the Chief of the Air Staff as the Special Guest of Honour. AVM Yusuf highlighted the current administration’s commitment to prioritize training across all specialties in order to develop a robust capacity for the effective use of air power in national security efforts. He urged all NAF training institutions to be proactive in pursuing capacity development to address the skill deficiencies in various trades and specialties within the NAF. Congratulating the personnel on their successful completion of the courses, the Guest of Honour emphasized the importance of professionalism in carrying out their assigned tasks, noting that the training they received provides them with an opportunity to contribute more effectively to the NAF’s national security efforts.

The graduation ceremony at NAFIAM celebrated the achievement of the personnel who dedicated themselves to enhancing their administrative skills and knowledge. By emphasizing the importance of training and professionalism, the Nigerian Air Force is taking significant steps to strengthen its capabilities and ensure the effective execution of its mission in safeguarding the nation’s security.
