The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) received praise from Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, for its valiant efforts in restoring a semblance of calm in the State.
The Governor gave the compliment today, January 6, 2023, when he paid Air Marshal Oladayo Amao a courtesy visit in his office at NAF Headquarters in Abuja, according to Air Commodore Wap Maigida, the Director of Public Relations and Information for the Nigerian Air Force.
While thanking the CAS on behalf of the people of Kaduna State, Governor El-Rufai revealed that the security situation in the State had significantly improved over the previous three months as a number of terrorist commanders had been taken out by the NAF and the remaining members had left the State.
“I came to thank the Chief of the Air Staff, Branch Chiefs, Air Officers Commanding, officers, and personnel of the Nigerian Air Force for the wonderful work done and being done in Kaduna State on behalf of the government and people of that state”. The security situation in and around our State has significantly improved. The Governor urged them to continue their great efforts.
In response, the CAS, Air Marshal Amao, commended the Governor for coming as well as for the assistance and cooperation the NAF has been enjoying from the government and people of Kaduna State in addressing the security concerns in the entire North West area.
Furthermore, according to Air Marshal Amao, the NAF would keep trying its hardest to ensure the safety and security of the nation in accordance with its obligations under the constitution.
“Until the entire country is secure, we will keep doing our best. We have skilled and knowledgeable operational Commanders managing numerous operations across the nation, the CAS emphasized.
The Air Chief stated that without President Muhammadu Buhari, the commander-in-chief of the armed forces, who has been giving the necessary resources, the multiple victories the NAF has so far had in the battle against terrorism and insurgency would not have been feasible.
