The Chairperson of the Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association (NAOWA) 3 Division Chapter, Mrs. Fibishola Abubakar, has praised Brigadier General Paul Zawaya, Commander of the 23 Brigade, and Mrs. Comfort Zawaya, NAOWA Coordinator 23 Brigade, for their dedication to the vision of NAOWA President Mrs. Mariya Abiodun Lagbaja. This vision is encapsulated in the theme “Sustaining Legacy Through Unwavering Commitment to Unity and Service to Humanity.” Mrs. Abubakar’s commendation came during the groundbreaking ceremony for a new NAOWA Creche, Nursery, and Primary School aimed at enhancing the quality of education in Gibson Jalo Cantonment, Yola, the Adamawa State capital.

Lieutenant Adebayo Adewumi, the Acting Assistant Director of Army Public Relations 23 Armoured Brigade, stated that Mrs. Abubakar highlighted the positive impact of the 23 Brigade’s leadership on both military personnel and the broader host communities. Addressing the spouses of fallen heroes and members of the Nigerian Army Soldiers Wives Association (NASWA) 23 Brigade, she emphasized NAOWA’s dedication to unity and service, aligning with Mrs. Lagbaja’s vision. Mrs. Abubakar underscored the Association’s commitment to providing an internationally recognized quality of education, particularly in the fields of science and technology.

In his welcome address, Brigadier General Zawaya lauded Mrs. Abubakar as an exemplary leader and role model, noting her tireless efforts to leave a lasting legacy. He also expressed his gratitude to Major General AE Abubakar, GOC/Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN, for his outstanding leadership and role-model status.

Mrs. Comfort Zawaya, NAOWA Coordinator 23 Brigade, also spoke during the visit, praising Mrs. Abubakar for her unwavering dedication to NAOWA’s mission and expressing confidence that 3 Division NAOWA would reach greater heights under her leadership.

The event featured the groundbreaking ceremony for the new school and the distribution of palliatives to the spouses of fallen heroes, highlighting NAOWA’s ongoing commitment to community support and education.
