On Saturday, May 20, 2023, NAOWA College Abuja’s freshly built 5 a-side Football Pitch will be officially opened by NAOWA President Mrs. Salamatu F. Yahaya. The commissioning of the football field, according to President NAOWA, is a continuation of her efforts to standardize NAOWA Schools by offering all the necessities of a contemporary learning institution.
The School Policy Handbook for NAOWA Schools Nationwide, which aims to give guidelines for students, instructors, and parents as well as other regulations that would promote uniformity in all NAOWA Schools, was also introduced by the President using this platform.
Mrs. Salamatu Yahaya expressed her gratitude to the Parents Teachers Association for their ongoing assistance and support in the academic growth of the pupils. NAOWA understands the value of athletics in fostering physical fitness, mental health, and a sense of community among military members and their families. The establishment of this football field demonstrates NAOWA’s dedication to meeting the recreational and welfare requirements of its members.
Smaller teams can play on the 5-a-side football field, which makes for more exciting and frantic games. It makes a great location for inter-unit competitions, casual games, and neighborhood gatherings. High-quality materials and qualified labor were used in the building of the facility to guarantee a fun and secure playing environment for all players.
The recently built football field serves as evidence of NAOWA’s dedication to improving the welfare and standard of living of military troops and their families. NAOWA promotes an active and healthy lifestyle while building a sense of community and solidarity among its members by offering a contemporary, well-equipped facility.
The inauguration of this football field is evidence of NAOWA’s ongoing efforts to promote possibilities for recreation, exercise, and community involvement. NAOWA is still dedicated to its purpose of empowering and assisting military families.
The novelty football matches involving the school’s teachers, parents, and pupils were the highlight of the commissioning celebration. Cultural dancing and prize ceremonies are two more.
