NAOWA President Lauds TRADOC NAOWA’s Initiative, as Mrs Yemisi Olabanji bags Award of Excellence

The President, Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA) Mrs Salamatu Faruk Yahaya has lauded the initiative of the TRADOC NAOWA Coordinator Mrs Yemisi Olabanji for constructing a modern Nursery and Primary school to cater for the education needs of the Barracks community. Speaking during the commissioning ceremony at Minna Military Cantonment (MMC) on Wednesday 25, January 2023, Mrs Salamatu Yahaya described the completion of the project as a feat worthy to note among numerous accomplishment under her watch.

Earlier, the TRADOC NAOWA Coordinator MMC,Mrs Yemisi Olabanji used the occasion to shower encomium on the efforts of the wife of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Faruk Yahaya for providing the school with needed equipment and welfare packages to encourage the staff and teachers. She added that the aim and purpose of establishing NAOWA Nursery and Primary is to provide quality and affordable education to the barracks and adjoining communities.

The TRADOC NAOWA Coordinator urged the barracks residents to make good use of the school by enrolling their wards and children. She said “Expert management team and professional teachers were carefully selected and recruited to man different facilities and subjects in the school”.

Highlight of the commissioning ceremony were the presentation of Award of Excellence to he TRADOC NAOWA Coordinator, presentation of school stationery, equipment and conduct of outreach for widows in the Cantonment. The 3 Day visit was capped up with luncheon/Dinner to commemorate the successful conduct of visit.
