The recently graduating recruits of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) have been tasked with being creative and focused in their efforts toward accomplishing Nigeria’s national security goals by the Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Vice Marshal Hasan Abubakar. At the Military Training Centre, NAF Base in Kaduna, the CAS made this declaration while seeing the Passing Out Parade of 1,123 recruits of Basic Military Training Course 43/2022.

The CAS stressed to the recruits the value of abiding by the code of conduct and rules of engagement for Armed Forces personnel engaged in internal security operations. He emphasized that they should carry out their jobs in a professional and constitutional manner and asked them to respect and defend the rights of innocent and law-abiding civilians.

In order to master their selected specializations, Air Vice Marshal Abubakar recommended the recruits to take use of the NAF’s numerous training possibilities. He emphasized the value of discipline and putting the nation and the military before personal interests. The recruits were urged to understand and uphold the NAF’s basic values of excellence, service before self, and integrity through the CAS.

The CAS cautioned the recruits against being utilized by subversive elements to destabilize the country in its ongoing efforts to combat criminal activity. He emphasized the value of neutrality and the need to defend all Nigerians, regardless of their affiliations or religious convictions.

Air Vice Marshal Abubakar urged the recruits to surrender to civic authority in accordance with democratic ideals by reminding them that they are now subject to both military and civil laws. He also underlined the need for them to become familiar with the Armed Forces’ social media policy and the serious repercussions of breaking its rules.

The CAS thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his assistance and assured him of the NAF’s allegiance and dedication to his administration’s goal of a stable and prosperous Nigeria.

Deputy Governor of Kaduna State Dr. Hadiza Balarabe, Commandants of the Tri-Service institutions in Kaduna, Branch Chiefs, and Directors from NAF Headquarters were among the dignitaries present at the passing out parade.
