Brigadier General KN Nwoko has taken over command of the Nigerian Army Intelligence School as the new Commandant, replacing Major General IG Lassa. The change of command ceremony took place on 9 July 2023, marking a transition in leadership at the school.
During the event, Major General Lassa expressed his gratitude to the staff and instructors for their support and cooperation throughout his tenure. He attributed the successes achieved by the school to the collective effort of all the officers and soldiers. He urged them to extend the same level of support and cooperation to the incoming Commandant.
Brigadier General Nwoko, in his address, expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome and stated his commitment to continuing the progress made under his predecessor’s leadership. He called on the staff and instructors to work together to maintain the high standards of the Nigerian Army Intelligence School.
Brigadier General Nwoko, prior to his appointment as Commandant of the Nigerian Army Intelligence School, served as the Commander of the 2 Military Intelligence Brigade in Ibadan.
The highlight of the ceremony was the signing of the handing and taking over note between the outgoing and incoming Commandants, symbolizing the official transfer of command.
With Brigadier General Nwoko assuming command, the School can expect to continue its mission of providing quality intelligence training and education under his leadership.
