The Nigerian Army Women Corps (NAWC) has decorated Major Roseline Agwai, the Coordinator 1 Women Special Operations Battalion (1SWOB) to the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. The Commander urged her to redouble her efforts in order to justify the confidence repose in her.
Major Agwai attended several courses which include, Military Police Officers Basic Course, Prosecution Witness Course, Command and Staff Officers Operational Course, Conflict Analysis Course, Civil-Military Cooperation Staff Officers Course, and Protection of Civilian Course amongst others.
Lieutenant Colonel Agwai was commissioned into the NA as a member of Direct Short Service Course (DSSC), 16 and was posted to the Nigerian Army Corps of Military police.
Lt-Col Agwai in the Course of her career held several appointments, including the Platoon Commander 32 Artillery Brigade Povost Company, Instructor at the Nigerian Army School of Military Police, Instructor at the Nigerian Defence Academy, Acting SO2 G9 Legal/Vetting at the Headquarters Nigerian Army Corps of Military Police, Acting Commander Defence Headquarters Provost and presently the Coordinator 1WSOB.
In attendance during the ceremony were the Chief of Staff NAWC Colonel TA Akinbo, the Assistant Director Army Public Relations NAWC Major HS Abdullahi, the Acting CO Records Major FN Ephraim, the Acting QM NAWC Captain C Chukwu, the Acting Legal Officer of the Corps Capt PZ Haliru, Adjutant 1SWOB Lieutenant AZ Abubakar, Headquarters Staff and family members of the decorated personnel.
