The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has stepped up efforts to combat oil theft across the country. In a recent operation, the Commandant General’s Special Anti-vandal Monitoring Squad seized 15 boats in the Akwa Ibom State towns of Eket and Ibenno that were hauling 4,500 drums of illegally processed petroleum products.
To combat the illicit actions of oil thieves who have been severely harming the nation’s economy, the operation was conducted with increased vigor and resolve.
