Brigadier General A. O. James, the director of finance for the Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre (NAFRC), was killed by a car driven by a corporal in the Nigerian Army named Abayomi Ebun.
The incident reportedly took place at the NAFRC Old Barracks in Lagos, according to PRNigeria.
General James, the NAFRC Finance Director, was struck by Cpl. Ebun, a NARC employee, while he was driving away from the barracks.
The senior officer, Gen. OA James, was quickly taken to the NAFRC Medical Center after the incident, where staff members there confirmed his demise.
According to information obtained by PRNigeria, Gen. James was struck from behind by the corporal’s car as he was on his way to his home within the Barracks.
According to a source at the NAFRC Barracks, Ebun was intoxicated when the incident took place and was driving erratically.
The source stated, “He has been detained by the NAFRC provost for further inquiry.”
