The Vice Chancellor (VC) Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) Ijebu-Ode, Professor Oluwole Sikiru Banjo has promised enhanced collaboration with Nigerian Army College of Education (NACOE) Ilorin, in the area of capacity building and training.
The Vice Chancellor gave this assurance when he played host to the Provost NACOE Maj Gen Sani Sumaila Ibrahim, who was on a courtesy visit to TASUED on 13 February 2023. The Vice Chancellor congratulated the Provost on his recent appointment and wished him a successful tenure.
Professor Banjo further stated that; “we are promising whatever you need in the area of quality and efficient personnel do not hesitate to come to us”. The VC also reiterated that NACOE is special to TASUED as an affiliate institution and said the strategic plan is that one day NACOE will become a University.
Making his remarks, the Provost NACOE, Maj Gen Ibrahim appreciated the VC TASUED for the support and stated; “we are fully ready to work with you. I have seen the kind support from the University, this is why we can raise our heads high”. The Provost NACOE also emphasized on measures already put in place for appraisal of teaching staff to ensure quality of standard.
High point of the visit was the presentation of souvenirs, group photograph and a guided tour to the Center for Entrepreneurship and Vocational Studies, where various household items produced by the students were on display.
Present during the visit were the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Bursar, Director Academic Planning and Quality Assurance among other staff of TASUED. While the Provost was accompanied during the visit by the Registrar and Deputy Registrar NACOE, as well as the Commandant Command Day Secondary School Ijebu-Ode.
