The Rector, Nigerian Army College of Environmental Science and Technology (NACEST), Major General Umar Nasir Babangida, on March 16, 2023, paid a courtesy call on the Air Officer Commanding (AOC) Air Tactical Command, Nigerian Air Force, Air Vice Marshal PN Amadi, at his office, at the Headquarters Tactical Air Command, Nigerian Air Force, Makurdi, Benue State.
In his remarks, the Rector stated that the purpose of his visit was to inform the AOC that he has assumed office, to solicit for his continued support and to sustain the cordial relationship between the NACEST and Tactical Air Command. He also expressed his institution’s support to the command. In his response, the AOC commended the Rector and thanked the Rector for the visit. He pledged to support the College in any capacity within its resources.
In a related development, the Corps Commander Engineers (CCE), Nigerian Army Engineer Corps, Major General PE Eromosele paid a visit to the NACEST, Makurdi. In his remarks, the CCE stated that he was on a familiarisation visit to the Nigerian Army School of Military Engineering (NASME) Makurdi and deemed necessary to also pay a courtesy visit on the Rector. He appreciated the Rector for the warm reception accorded him and also commended him for the good working relationship between NACEST and NASME.
Responding, the Rector thanked the CCE for the visit and congratulated him on his appointment as CCE. He further thanked him for his support while serving as Commandant NASME and solicited for more support to NACEST by the Nigerian Army Engineers and prayed for a seamless and successful tour of duty as CCE.
Highlights of the visits were the signing of the visitors book, the presentation of souvenirs, and the group photograph.
