In an effort to strengthen Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) in the 29 Task Force Brigade Area of Responsibility and throughout the North East, Operation HADIN-KAI is a part of the effort to further increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Joint Task Force North East in the fight against Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists.
On December 22, 2022, Brig-Gen EO Ojabo, the commander of 29 Task Force Brigade, resumed his humanitarian mission to the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) camp for internally displaced people in Benisheikh, Kaga Local Government Area, Borno state, where he made a donation of food and supplies.
The goal is to enhance the CIMIC between the 29TF Brigade and the people of Benisheikh while also creating a safe, peaceful, and welcoming environment for the holiday season. The Commander 29TF BDE delivered the relief supplies, which include bags of rice, cooking oil, soft drinks, and washing soap among other things, to the camp commanders.
The Commander of the 29TF Brigade addressed the crowd as the commodities were delivered to the IDPs and asked both the refugees and the host communities to assist the Brigade by providing helpful intelligence on Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorist activities and depriving the terrorist of the information.
The Commander also praised the host communities’ and refugees’ contributions to the planning and execution of the operation. Malam Abubakar, the head of the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) IDP Camp Benisheikh, thanked the Commander of 29TF BDE for the thoughtful gesture and wished 29TF Brigade and the Nigerian Army continued success in driving out the state’s enemies. He exhorted the Refugees to respond to the Commander’s request by giving the Brigade insightful intelligence reports. The key staff officers of Head Quarter 29 Task Force Brigade, Benisheikh, accompanied the Commander during the tour.
