The Resident Electoral Commissioner INEC Kogi State, Dr Gabriel Longpet paid a courtesy call to the Commander Command Army Records on 16 November 2022 at the Headquarters Command Army Records, Lokoja Kogi State.
While stating the purpose of the visit, Dr Lonpert said the Army has good precedence in maintaining peace and security in the country. He said his tour of Kogi won’t be complete without his familiarisation visit to HQ CAR and to acknowledge the key role of the Army in a free and fair election. He further appealed to the Commander for his support in the upcoming election by 2023.
In his response, the Commander Command Army Records Maj Gen S I Igbinomwanhia thanked the State Resident Electoral Commission for the visit and stated that he is always willing to assist INEC whenever it’s required.
Present during the visit was the Chief Of Staff, Director Command Record Office, INEC Management Staff and other Principal Staff Officers of the Command.
