Following a clearing operation around Kagara, Gidan Fadama, Gangara, Tseika, Malamawa, and Zango Kamarawa general areas, under Talata Mafara and Shinkafi Local Government Areas in Zamfara state, troops of the Joint Taskforce of Northwest Operation Hadarin Daji have neutralized a number of bandits, recovered Rocket Launcher, others.
According to information obtained by Channels Television, troops began clearing out several bandit camps in these areas on Tuesday and Wednesday. They engaged the terrorists in a fierce gun fight, killed several bandits, and destroyed their camps and hideouts.
In addition, the soldiers of Operation Hadarin Daji found and annihilated 19 terrorist motorcycles as well as 1 Rocket Launcher, Rocket Propeller Grenade (RPG), 1 PKT Machine Gun with several live rounds, and 3 AK-47 rifles.
Additionally, the soldiers are conducting a combative search along the Dogon Awo-Lamba Bakura axis for Bakura Local.
