An excellent source of troops morale that improves fighting effectiveness and success in all military battles has been found to be a stable marriage.
The words were given by Hajiya Adama Abdullahi Gambo, Coordinator of the 23 Brigade Chapter of the Nigerian Army Officer’s Wives Association (NAOWA), during her keynote lecture at a seminar with the theme “Secret of Successful Marriages” held at Gibson Jalo Cantonment Yola. She pointed out that because they act as “commanders” of the home front while their husbands are on duty, spouses of serving members of the military continue to be major players in how military operations are carried out.
According to the organization, a solid domestic situation enablestroops to remain devoted to their tasks, and stable psychological conditions help soldiers win the war.
Participants were urged by Hajiya Gambo to take advantage of the seminar’s opportunity to strengthen their marriages in order to create stable families.
The Special Guest of Honor, Mrs. Lami Ahmed Ganda, Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development for Adamawa State, praised the 23 Brigade Chapter of NAOWA for its commendable attempt to promote happy marriages and noted that if all families are stable, the entire world will be as well.
She gave NAOWA the assurance that the government of Adamawa State would assist efforts to create a tranquil and stable society.
Highlights of the seminar included interactive workshops, group photos, retired military officers’ wives sharing their marriage experiences, and resource person paper presentations.
