The Theatre Commander Joint Task Force (JTF) North East (NE) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), Major General IS Ali, paid a courtesy visit to religious leaders in Borno State today, Tuesday, 28 February 2023, in an effort to maintain the friendly relationship among important stakeholders and improve non-kinetic operations as well as civil-military cooperation.
Imam Laisu Ibrahim Ahmed, Chief Imam and Chairman of the Islamic Preaching Council in Borno State, was the Theatre Commander’s first port of contact. After that, The Joint Task Force Operation Commander went to the office of Most Reverend John Bakeni, the CAN’s Borno State Secretary.
The visitors, who were obviously honored by the theater commander’s visit, promised to continue supporting and assisting the military in Borno State. Additionally, they praised and recognized the military’s efforts in bringing peace and normalcy to Nigeria’s entire North Eastern area.
After taking over on January 28, 2023, as the new Joint Task Force Operation Commander OPHK, the Theatre Commander revealed that his visits to the religious leaders were motivated by the need to present himself to them. Maj Gen Ali also took advantage of the chance to ask religious leaders for more cooperation and assistance in the ongoing CTCOIN operations in the Northeast.
Brig Gen EJ Ikomi, Theatre Logistics Component Commander, Brig Gen OM Azuikpe, Theatre Intelligence Coordinator, Col I Sule, Commander NA UAV, and Senior Staff Officers of Headquarters Theatre Command OPHK are in the company of the Theatre Commander.
