General Ibrahim Ali who was received on arrival by the Sector Commander, Maj-Gen AE Abubakar was briefed vividly on the Operational activities of the sector.

In his remarks, Major-General Ali expressed delight to be in Sector 3 Area of Responsibility and also commended the command for the tremendous successes they have recorded in the fight against the insurgents. While addressing troops Maj-Gen Ibrahim Ali emphasized on the need to remain professional and disciplined and equally directed the command to continue to regulate the activities of the hybrid force to conform to international best practices.

Furthermore, the TC charged them to sustain the tempo of the Sector’s offensives against the terrorists in order to deny them freedom of action and wipe out the remnants of the marauding terrorists. Since its emergence, ‘Sector 3 has done a lot in degrading the terrorist and must continue to do so until the entire region is free of terrorism and other criminal activities’, he added.

Earlier in his welcome address, Major-General AE Abubakar opined that ‘it is a privilege receiving the Theatre Commander OPHK and members of his entourage in Sector Headquarters’. According to Major General Abubakar, the visit of the TC is timely and instrumental in boosting troops’ morale in the ongoing Counter Terrorism and Counter Insurgency Operations. He further assured the Theatre Commander of the Sector’s commitment and determination to accomplish the Operational mandate of OPHK.

Before departure, the TC also visited 68 Battalion Mallam Fatori, where he also addressed troops, delivered some logistics to the Battalion and assured them of his continuous support and adequate welfare. He also pledged to reward hard work with commendations and promotions.
