Theatre Commander Visits Heads of Security in Borno, Seeks More Synergy

In an effort to sustain the mandate of Operation HADIN KAI ( OPHK ) which is ‘working together in a joint environment’, the Theatre Commander Joint Task Force ( JTF ) North East ( NE ) Operation HADIN KAI ( OPHK ) Major-General IS Ali today, 1st February 2023 paid a familiarization visit to Heads of other Security Agencies in Borno State.

Maj.-Gen. Ali visited the Director Department of State Service ( DSS ) Borno State, Mr Murtala Mohammed; the Commissioner of Police Borno State Command, CP Abdu Umar; and the Comptroller Nigerian Immigration service, Barr Mutawalli Kachalla Borko.

Having taken over the command of OPHK, the Theatre Commander averred that it is necessary for him to pay a courtesy visit to various heads of security agencies in the state. While emphasizing the significance of the role played by the security agencies, Maj-Gen Ali lauded the sustained synergy and called for a more mutual working relationship amongst the components and stakeholders of OPHK.

Additionally, the Theatre Commander commended the contributions of the personnel of DSS, NPF and NIS in OPHK, stating that their unrelenting efforts and support in the ongoing Counter Terrorism and Counter Insurgency Operations of OPHK is one of the key factors and drive that has yielded numerous successes and unprecedented achievements for the Theatre.

The Theatre Commander disclosed that the visit was necessitated by the need to introduce himself to Heads of various security agencies in Borno State and as well seek continuous collaboration and support in the ongoing operations, particularly in intelligence sharing during Operation SAFE CONDUCT of the forth coming 2023 General Elections in the country.

During the visits, the security agency’s boss who warmly received the Theatre Commander congratulated him for his new appointment and also expressed their readiness to render all required support to the Command of OPHK in a similar capacity accorded to the outgone Theatre Commander.

Present during the visit were the Theatre Logistics Component Commander, Brig-Gen EJ Ikomi; The Theatre Intelligent Coordinator, Brig-Gen OM Azuikpe; The Commander Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, Col I Sule and Principal Staff Officers of Headquarters Theatre Command OPHK.
