Maj Gen Stevenson Olabanji, the commander of the Training and Doctrine Command of the Nigerian Army (TRADOC NA), held a commendation dinner night to honor the outstanding performance and commitment of the active-duty, retired, and posted-out individuals who served under his command over the previous two years. The event was held in Niger State’s Minna Military Cantonment.

The Special Guest of Honor, Maj. Gen. Victor Ezugwu, said in his remarks that he is extremely honored to be among senior officers who have played a crucial role in ensuring effective personnel training, among other important operations of the Nigerian Army (NA). The passion, commitment, and unselfish service to the NA and TRADOC are admirable and greatly valued. General Ezegwu continued, “The daily sacrifices in enhancing the reputation of the command and living up to TRADOC NA’s motto of “Towards Greater Heights,” coupled with the daily routine of training, strategizing, and developing tactics to thwart the actions of adversaries and non-state actors, is no small feat.

In addition to continuing to uphold the standards that have garnered them commendation awards, Gen. Victor Ezugwu enjoyed the posted-out officers. He added asked them to go above and above in their commitment to the nation and to use their position to motivate others to take their place. He also expressed his congratulations to all of the honorees for earning tonight’s accolade via their diligence and commitment to service. The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt Gen Faruk Yahaya’s vision of “A Professional Nigerian Army Ready to Accomplish Assigned Missions within a Joint Environment in the Defence of Nigeria” is one of its pillars, and it is a testimonial to excellent leadership and professionalism. Gen. Ezegwu commended the officers, soldiers, and leadership of TRADOC NA who had been chosen for the commendation awards.

The unique and outstanding event was organized to honor the exemplary service and steadfast dedication of serving, retired, and posted-out officers and soldiers of TRADOC NA, according to Commander TRADOC NA Maj Gen Olabanji in his welcome address. In the past two years of my meritorious service as the Commander of TRADOAC NA, it gives me great pleasure to announce that the leadership of TRADOC has recognised and recognized the extraordinary contributions you have selflessly given your lives to during your tour of duty. This is to make sure that as commander, my mission was fulfilled.
