We’ll Continue to Throw our Wight Behind all Federal Government Policies Acting DG NYSC

Mrs. Christy lfeyinwa Uba, the acting director general National Youth Service Corps NYSC has stated that the program will continue to support all federal government policies.

She continued by saying that NYSC is prepared to make sure that both the National Population/Housing Census and the preparations for the 2023 general elections are major successes. In her remarks to Corps members and camp staff at the NYSC Anambra State Orientation Camp in Mbaukwu/Umuawulu, Uba made this disclosure.

She claimed that through its deployment procedure, involvement in national assignments, and Corps Members’ Community Development projects, NYSC, the preeminent youth mobilizing organization on the African continent, has been bringing the nation together.

“You must be impartial and apolitical, and you must not break any electoral laws in order to participate in the election of 2023. It is strongly urged that you follow these guidelines.

Be good representatives for your schools, families, and NYSC. As millions of young people have gone through the Scheme and are now leaders, you are now a part of history.

“At all times, you must be security-conscious. You are expected to act morally and refrain from taking short cuts “NYSC Director stated.

The Corps Members were warned by the Acting NYSC Director General to avoid cultism, cybercrime, drug abuse, and other social vices that could harm their future. She urged them to instill the virtues of perseverance, self-control, and diligence, which are necessary for living successful lives.

Mrs. Uba added, “You are expected to participate in the post-camp training, and ensure you acquire a skill that will enable you to become employers of labor at the end of your service year,” before advising the Corps Members to take advantage of the NYSC Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) Program.

She urged the Corps Members to make a positive contribution to their host communities so that their service will be remembered fondly. NYSC boss pleaded with them to defend the government’s substantial investments and the preference their parents had for them.

Mrs. Blessing Iruma, the NYSC Anambra State Coordinator, stated in a statement that Mrs. Uba’s dedication to Corps Members is attested to by the Acting Director General of the Scheme’s visit, which fell on the same day as the camp cultural carnival. The celebration of the camp cultural festival, she continued, strengthens the bonds of solidarity between subsequent Corps Member batches by showcasing Nigeria’s rich cultural history.
