His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has received praise from the 82 Division Area of Responsibility (AOR), in Orlu for his tenacity and political resolve in preserving peace and calm in Imo.

The praise was given by Bridger-General S. Suleman, Commander of 34 Artillery Base Orlu, at the start of the military exercise Golden Dawn II 2022 for the protection of Ndi Imo and all commercial operations during the holiday season and election season.

In his speech, Governor Uzodimma revealed that national insecurity, not only that in Imo State, was a factor in the decision to launch Exercise Golden Dawn.

The activity, according to the governor, will be more interesting to people in Imo, which will encourage Imo’s sons and daughters to visit throughout the holiday season.

In order to ensure their safety and welfare, he made use of the occasion to implore the populace to work with the security forces. The Governor praised the security agencies for their selfless services and efforts, particularly those who paid the last price in the preservation of lives and property, using the Nigerian Army as a compass.

The governor informed the populace that his government would work with the Nigerian Army and other sister organizations to provide additional support for a successful exercise.
