The Zonal Director Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) Maiduguri Network Center, Muhammad Abubakar has on Tuesday, 21 March, 2023 paid a courtesy visit to the Theatre Commander Joint Task Force (JTF) North East (NE) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) Major General Ibrahim Ali at the Command Headquarters in Maiduguri.
Mr Mohammed Abubakar disclosed that he was at the Theatre to introduce himself to the Theatre Commander as the new Zonal Director as well as to rekindle the existing cordial relationship between the Theatre and his organisation.
The Zonal Director NTA Maiduguri also commended the efforts and sacrifices of the military for creating a conducive atmosphere for peace to thrive. Moreso, he lauded the crucial role and high level of professionalism exhibited by troops of OPHK during the recent inferno at Monday Market, Maiduguri.
In his remarks, the Theatre Commander applauded the media organisation for their patriotism and balanced reportage in the fight against insurgency in the NE. He also commended the existing synergy and high level of cooperation accorded the military by NTA.
Additionally, Maj Gen Ali assured them of the Theatre’s continuous support and commitment in restoring total and long lasting peace in the region. The visit was attended by the Deputy Theatre Commander, Maj Gen KA Isoni, Component Commanders, Chief of Staff, Theatre Intelligence Coordinator, and Principal Staff Officers of Headquarters Theatre Command OPHK.
