The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 82 Division Nigerian Army (NA), Major General Aminu Chinade has assured the people of Enugu State and the entire South East in general of safety of lives and property while going about their lawful business. The GOC gave the assurance when His Royal Majesty Odezuluigbo III of Nike, Igwe Barrister Julius Nnaji paid him a courtesy visit at the Headquarters 82 Division.
In his remarks, Maj Gen Chinade appreciated His Royal Majesty and his cabinet for their visit and called on the good people of the South East region to cooperate and support the Division and other Security Agencies with credible intelligence and information within the Division’s Area of Responsibilities (AOR) in order to effectively tackle the security challenges within the region. He further expressed his gratitude to His Royal Majesty for his words of encouragement to the Division for its impact in securing the South East region.
Earlier, Odezuluigbo III of Nike Igwe Barrister Julius Nnaji while stating the purpose of his visit, pointed out that he was at the Division to congratulate the General Officer Commanding on his appointment as the GOC 82 Division Nigerian Army. The Igwe further commended troops of the Division for their efforts in tackling security challenges which has resulted to decrease of criminal activities within the region. He thereafter assured the GOC that the existing relationship and cooperation with the state traditional institution will be continued. In his words as the Deputy Chairman Enugu State Traditional Council and Chairman Enugu South Traditional Council “I assure you that the synergy and cooperation will be maintained in other to achieve our overall goal of improved security’’.
Similarly, the GOC also assured the Comptroller Nigeria Immigration Service Enugu State Command of it’s continuous support and rendering of necessary assistance when needed, to the Command to enable it achieve it’s mandate. The GOC made the pledge when the Comptroller of Immigration Enugu State Command Comptroller Halliday Azuka Mindim paid him a courtesy visit.
In his remarks, General Chinade appreciated the Comptroller and her entourage for the visit. The GOC promised that the existing working relationship between The Division and the Command will continue, he also pledged the unflinching support of the Division to the Command when the need arises.
Earlier in her remarks, the Comptroller of Immigration Enugu State Command solicited for the unwavering support and partnership of the Division in order to achieve the Command’s mandate. She further pointed out that her Command has had good working relationship with the Division and to this end the cordial relationship will continue to flourish.
Both visits were climaxed with endorsing the visitor’s book, presentation of souvenir and group photograph.
