HEADQUARTERS TRADOC NA CONDUCTS RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE FOR 2025

Two-Day Event Highlights Technology, Innovation, and Doctrinal Guidance for Modern Warfare

The Headquarters Training and Doctrine Command Nigerian Army ( TRADOC NA) has successfully hosted a two-day Research and Development Conference for 2025 at the TRADOC NA Auditorium, Minna Military Cantonment, Niger State. The conference, themed “Research and Development: A Paradigm for Doctrinal Guidance in Contemporary Operational Environment,” focused on building capacity and broadening participants’ understanding of cutting-edge research and development issues.

According to a statement by Lieutenant Colonel Felicia Daniel, Acting Deputy Director Army Public Relations, TRADOC NA, the Special Guest of Honour and Commander TRADOC NA, Major General Kevin Aligbe, in his opening remarks emphasized the need to leverage the latest technologies and trends in research and development for modern warfare. He underscored the importance of collaboration among security agencies in managing conflicts and sustaining peace, while expressing gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, for his unwavering support and resource provision for the conference.

The Chief of Research and Development, Test and Evaluation (CRT&E), Major General Aminu Chinade, welcomed participants and highlighted the critical role of the military in national transformation through research and development, noting that developed nations thrive on such innovation.

Throughout the two-day event, attendees engaged in thought-provoking discussions and listened to expert presentations. The second day featured a series of paper presentations that enriched deliberations on industrialization and military technological advancement.

The conference concluded with the presentation of plaques to guest lecturers and discussants, followed by a group photograph, reinforcing TRADOC NA’s commitment to fostering innovation and technological growth in the Nigerian Army.
