The Magajiyas of Maimalari Barracks have praised Major General Christopher Musa, Theatre Commander of Joint Task Force (JTF) North East (NE) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), for prioritizing the welfare of the barracks community by providing the necessary basic amenities required to make life easier for the troops and their families residing in the barracks. The visit was held on Saturday, October 29, 2022.

The women applauded Maj Gen Musa for his concern for the community’s welfare, particularly the provision of pipe-borne water and the establishment of a hygienic environment as well as a soothing ambience throughout the barracks.

They admitted that while inhabitants of the barracks have long struggled with access to clean water, they now have it flowing freely throughout the whole facility. The Theatre Commander expressed his gratitude for their time in coming to see him.

He also admired them for caring for their families while their men were gone defending the nation’s territorial integrity. Because they are the “leaders of tomorrow,” Maj Gen Musa further exhorts them to continue caring for their home and raising morally upright children.

The Theatre Commander added that all the basic comforts they are using are a result of Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya, Chief of Army Staff’s gesture for the troops and their families.

“The COAS is committed to making life easier for people and their families and we should all be grateful to him,” the Theatre Commander said.

The Theatre Commander promised them more projects, including the restoration of a continuous electricity supply across the entire barracks, in addition to the refurbishment of blocks and the construction of new buildings.
