Major General Adekunle Adeyinka Assumes Command as Commander Corps of Supply and Transport

At a ceremony held at the Nigerian Army Corps of Supply and Transport Headquarters in Bonny Cantonment, Victoria Island, Lagos, Major General Adekunle Adeyinka took over as the 17th Commander Corps of Supply and Transport (CCST).

Major General Erema Akerejola, the outgoing commander of the Corps of Supply and Transport, thanked the officers and men of the Corps for their cooperation and loyalty over the course of his command. He recognized their dedication to provide necessary services day and night and gave them credit for the accomplishments made possible by their combined efforts. Major General Akerejola expressed his gratitude to Maj Gen Lagbaja, Chief of Army Staff, for giving him the chance to serve in a more important position.

In his reaction, Major General Adekunle Adeyinka thanked his predecessor for his mentoring and advice. He praised the accomplishments of the departing Commander, highlighting his work on enhancing service delivery, building infrastructure, and fostering inclusive leadership. The performance of the Corps would be significantly improved by building on these legacies, Major General Adeyinka promised. He urged every member of the staff to join him in his plan to take the Corps to new heights, stressing that doing so is everyone’s responsibility.

The Handing and Taking Over Notes were signed, Major General Adeyinka was awarded the Corps Insignia, the Corps Flag was displayed, and the Quarter Guard was inspected during the ceremony. Additionally, a number of improvements were ordered, including the Ashanti Barracks Water Hydrant and Officers’ Transit Accommodation.

Corps of Supply and Transport

The Nigerian Army Corps of Supply and Transport can anticipate ongoing advancement and improved service delivery under Major General Adeyinka’s leadership.
