GOC 7 Division Pledges Continuous Logistics Support, Cooperation as Commander NAOC, NACST, NAEME Visits Divisional Headquarters

On Sunday, 06 November, 2022, Corps Commanders of the Nigerian Army Ordnance Corps, Maj Gen AM Alabi; Nigerian Army Corps of Supply and Transport, Maj Gen E Akerejola and the Nigerian Army Electrical and Mechanical Engineer, Maj Gen A Mohammed assured the General Officer Commanding 7 Division and Commander Sector 1 Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), Major General Waidi Shaibu of their continuous logistics support and cooperation to ensure that the Division continue to make giant strides in its operations.

The Corps Commanders who were on an operational/assessment visit to the North East gave these assurances during a courtesy visit to the GOC in his office at the Division’s headquarters in Maimalari Cantonment, Maiduguri.

The Corps Commanders applauded the GOC and his men for their effort in degrading the activities of the terrorists in the North East region and within the fringes of Lake Chad. They disclosed that they have closely monitored and followed the Division’s activities, particularly, the numerous and obvious successes recorded so far in the fight against insurgency.

In his remarks, the GOC appreciated the Corps Commanders for making out time to visit the Division. He also thanked them for their unending support in facilitating the logistics requirements of the Division.

Finally, the GOC requested the Corps Commanders to continue sharing ideas and making recommendations that will facilitate the growth and development of the logistics sector of the Division. While acknowledging the contributions of NAOC, NACST and NAEME, Maj Gen Waidi stated that the mandate of the Division cannot be achieved without the robust support of logistics Commanders.

The hitch-free event was attended by the Theatre Logistics Component Commander, Brig Gen EH Akpan, Commander AHQ Log Base 1, Brig Gen SO Solarin, Chief of Staff, Brig Gen OM Oyekola, Commander 7 Division Ordnance Services, Brig Gen RL Pam, Commander 47 Engineers Brigade, Brig Gen IE Ekpenyong, Commander 37 Artillery Brigade, Brig Gen DB Suleman, other Commanders and Principal Staff Officers of the Division.
